It was revealed just over a year ago that the DeLorean would be making an official comeback with the help of Italdesign. With the help of a short teaser film, we now have our first update on the project, with the company stating that the forthcoming model will be an electric car. An electric DeLorean will follow in the footsteps of earlier electrified revivals of legendary vehicles like the GMC Hummer and the Renault 5.

The revived DeLorean Motor Company has revealed the first images of its new electric vehicle called Alpha5. The vehicle is equipped with the iconic gullwing doors, just like the original. The expected price tag is $175,000.
